About Us
The Asian American Affairs Association (the "4A") was incorporated on May 4, 2004, under the Washington Nonprofit Corporation Act, Chapter 24.03 of the Revised Code of Washington. Internal Revenue Code: 501(c)(3)grants the tax-exempt status).
The "4A" endeavors to protect the social and legal rights of Asian immigrants living in America. It provides free counseling and legal assistance. It acts as a bridge between the victims of racial discrimination and labor unfair treatments and the legal network. The association intends to increase among Asian Americans the awareness to utilize the law to defend themselves against discriminations at their work. Meanwhile the organization will make an effort to promote the cultural communication and exchange programs.
Although the specific activities of the 4A may shift in emphasis according to the demands of Asian Americans, we currently contemplate the following activities:

-
1. Referral Hotline. A toll-free hotline from the organization's headquarters in Issaquah, Washington. The primary purpose of the hotline will be to provide referrals to available resources around the nation, including private attorneys, government offices and associations, through which recent Asian immigrants can be educated and advised concerning their civil rights in employment and other environments.
- 2. Language Interpretation Services: 4A will provide language interpretation services between Asian Americans and their attorneys.
- 3. Providing culture awareness training for individuals or agencies concerning communication and civil rights
- 4. Providing public relations and outreach package for the interested parties concerning civil rights.
- 5. Organizing speeches on special topics concerning civil rights.
